YASMINE LOUALI ياسمين لوالي

A Moroccan artist living and working in Paris. Born and raised in Rabat, she left at the age of 18 to study in Lyon, Athens and Paris. She is a graduate of SciencesPo and the Beaux-Arts de Paris.
Yasmine Louali is a multidisciplinary artist working with video, installation, sculpture, and performance. Her practice is fluid and free from formal constraints, reflecting her interest in philosophy, history, and social sciences. Merging sensitivity with critical inquiry, she explores themes of corporeality, the sacred and the profane, and the construction of culture and ritual. Text plays a central role in her process, shaping her pieces conceptually. Her work is often collaborative and ephemeral, notably through the use of food as both sculptural material and a medium for shared experiences.
She has worked as an assistant to curator Iliana Fokianaki in Athens before fully dedicating herself to her artistic practice. Currently, she works as a set design assistant and molder for art and decor workshops while continuing to contribute to set design on film projects with Kartago Film, a production company based in Athens and Berlin. Yasmine has participated in the Khial Nkhel and Villa Alliti artist residencies in Morocco and Corsica. She has exhibited at the Louvre, Théâtre des Expositions, Galerie John Ferrère, Non Etoile, and Confort Mental.
